Betty Howard Johnson entered peacefully into eternal rest at her home on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the age of 81. She was a native of Plaquemine, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Betty was educated in the Orleans Parish Public School System. She was employed as a CNA for numerous years prior to retirement. She was a member of White Chapel Baptist Church and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Eastern Star. Beloved wife of Felton Johnson. Devoted mother Byron Anthony (Tamara) Morris, Avia Leatrice Morris (Roosevelt) Warren, and the late Alfred Davis, and Casey Morris, Jr. Loving daughter of the late Lawrence and Alma Davis. Granddaughter of the late Hompton and Rebecca Johnson, and Josephine James. Sister of Lawrence Davis, Clarence Davis, Royal Davis, Dolores Watson, Mary Jones, and the late LeRoy Davis, Curtis Davis, Shirley Samuel, and Orela Williams. Betty is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of White Chapel Baptist Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named parlor.
