BERNICE SYLVAN DOYLE

Bernice Sylvan Doyle entered eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the age of 63. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Beloved mother of Shanette and Kendal Whitney, Ervin Doyle, Jr., Myra Doyle, Nicole Johnson, and Coty Johnson. Daughter of Freddie Sylvan and Elnora Sylvan. Adopted daughter Louis Williams and Mary Greathouse. Sister of Rodney C. Dennis, Sr., Rufus Sylvan, Floyd Sylvan, Clifford Sylvan, Gerald Sylvan, Evelyn Capers, Adrienne M. Reed, Trenice King-Ball., Della Sylvan, Lisa Sylvan, Lucy Sylvan, and Cynthia Sylvan. Bernice is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Prayer Tower Church of God in Christ are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Prayer Tower Church of God in Christ 8708 Willow St. New Orleans, LA on Friday, November 13, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Bishop Green officiating.
