BENNIE JEROME JOHNSON, JR.

Bennie Johnson, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the age of 37. He was a native of Winston Salem, NC and a resident of Gretna, LA. Bennie was a graduate of Southview High School in Fayetteville, NC and served his county as a member of the United States Air Force. He was formerly employed as a Hotel Bartender. Beloved son of Lori Johnson (Robert) Harrison and Bennie Johnson, Sr. Grandson of the late Levi Sr. and Helen Smith and Bessie Kearse Johnson. Loving brother of Beontra Johnson. Devoted uncle of Terry Johnson. Nephew of the late Glenda Channey, Zenda Smith, Linda Horton, Patricia Johnson, Glenda Jeter, Louis Vernon Smith, and Larry Johnson. Cousin of the late Corey Green. Bennie is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Mt. Olive Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Second Mt. Olive Baptist Church 2108 St. Anthony Street, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 11:00a.m. Pastor Donnie W. Brown, Sr., officiating.Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Will Be Private.
