BARBARA ANN REED

Barbara Ann “BaBa” Reed entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the age of 68. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Barbara was a graduate of L B. Landry High School Class of 1975. Beloved mother of Steve Reed, Asia Reed, and the late Michael “Tiger” Robert Reed. Daughter of the late James C. Reed and Anna Mae (Louis) Williams. Sister of Patricia (Tracy) McGuire, Geraldine (Michael) Owens, Debra and Sharon Reed, Eva Montgomery, and the late Bertha Reed Addison, Calvin Moore, Sr. and James C. Reed, Sr. Barbara is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Greater Providence Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Greater Providence Baptist Church, 623 Newton St. New Orleans, LA, LA on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 11:00a.m. Pastor Javonte Jimcoily, officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery, Westwego, LA.
