Azariah Davion “Maw” Hensley transitioned into eternal rest on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at West Jefferson Medical Center at the age of 19. She was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Azariah was a graduate of John Ehret High School, and was planning to pursue a degree in nursing. Her plans were to become a nurse and start her own business. Beloved daughter of Jamar Williams and the late De’Shante Renee Hensley. Devoted sister of Ahmad Gordon and Gabrielle Gilmore. Loving granddaughter of Azalea and Okley Fazande, David Jones, Jenita Morton, Mary Williams, and Gena Jones. Niece of David and Denzel Hensley, Jermaine, Brandon, and Okley Fazande III, Brandon Hill, Alton Perry, DeWayne Williams, Davion Jones, Kevin Harry, Pamela Cruz, Shelia Miller, Australia Hensley, Priscilla Wells, Keiona Harry, Monica Robinson, Dai’ja Jones, Kiara Jones, Jenise Perry, and Joshlyn Gilmore. Great niece of the late Troy and Lawrence Hensley, and Travis Fazande. Great great niece of the late Brenda Bazile. Goddaughter of Tiffany Morton. Godsister of Alexis Hensley. Best friend of Quenisha Dudley, Shelbrionne Carter and Victoria. Azariah is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
