Autumn Joy Gaines gained her heavenly wings on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at 12:26a.m. She was a native and resident of Marrero, LA. Daughter of Shavannah Gaines and Shevelle Ingram. Granddaughter of Sonya Cheryl Ingram, Shevelle Nelson, and the late Gregory A. Gaines, Sr., and Cantrell Douse. Great granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Antoine C. Wright, Sr., Carolyn Harry, and Joshua Young. Great great granddaughter of the late Willie and Erma Gaines, John and Julia Wright, Annie Douse, and Benjamin Jeffrey. Niece of Gregory A. Gaines, Jr., Christe (Mike) Crockens, Jerry (Karen) Fairman, Jr., Christopher (Jamie) Douse, Kristian (Tyquan) Jordan, Chris Douse, Benjamin Johnson, Armaad Johnson, KeSharh Ingram, SheKelle Ingram, Chernisha Ingram, and Shyanna Nelson. Great niece of Patrina and Gail Wright, Modeste Allen, Alena and Betty Jessie, Jeanne Marie (Clifford) Pierre, Bridget Burse, Gary (Tina) Douse, and the late Orinetta Common, Willie Anna Veal, Joseph Burse, Antoine C. Wright, Jr., Jerry, and Delana Fairman, also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the labor and delivery unit and the NICU staff at West Jefferson Medical Center.
