AUGUSTINE ELNORA HUGHES BUTLER

Augustine Elnora Hughes Butler, age 83, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Augustine was a 1958 graduate of L. B. Landry High School and she attended Grambling State University. She was a retired Head Custodian of the Orleans Parish School Board. Beloved wife of the late Norman Butler, Sr. Devoted mother of Monya and Monique Butler. Daughter of the late Joseph H. Hughes, Sr., and Augustine Hughes. Loving sister of Peter Hughes, Vera Hughes, AnnaMae Sheaffers, Evelyn H. Peterson, and the late Henry Hughes, Calvin Hughes, Joseph Hughes, Jr., Joyce McGinnis, Jerry Hughes, and Melvin Hughes.  Augustine is also survived by 1 grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
