ARLENE FRANCIS LEWIS

Arlene Francis Lewis entered peacefully into eternal rest at Memorial Hermann Medical Center in Houston, TX on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at the age of 64. She was a native of Harvey, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Arlene was a graduate of O. Perry Walker High School and she attended Delgado Community College. She was employed as a Direct Service Worker. Arlene was an active member of White Chapel Baptist Church. Loving and devoted mother of Jessica and Jennifer Lewis, and the late Kevin J. Lewis, Jr. Beloved daughter of Odessa Mayze Francis-Mock and the late August Francis. Stepdaughter of the late Otis Mock.   Granddaughter of the late Clara Mason Mayze Murphy, Albert Mayze, and Tommy Murphy. Sister of Leroy Francis, Gregory Francis, Odis Cordell Mock, Juanita Dembo, Osannah Harrison, Cynthia James, Lisa Francis, and the late James Mayze. Arlene is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of White Chapel Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Israel Baptist Church, 1612 Esther St. Harvey, LA on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 10:00a.m. Rev. Dr. Johnny M. McKinnies, host pastor; Pastor John Mason, officiating  Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
