ANNIE BELL ROBERTSON

Annie Bell Robertson entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the age of 68. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. She was a graduate of Walter L. Cohen Senior High School. Annie was an entrepreneur of Annie’s Domestic Service for over 40 years with her husband. She was also formerly employed with the United States Department of Agriculture and McDonald’s. Annie was a faithful member of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church for 31 years, and participated with the Vacation Bible School, Hands of Praise Deaf Ministries, and various youth groups. Beloved wife of 43 years to Alvin “Poochie” Robertson. Devoted mother of Talmage Atkins. Loving grandmother of Tamera Atkins, Talmage Atkins, Jr., and Tareasha Bell. Great grandmother of Tia Bell. Daughter of the late Alex and Mary Lewis. Sister of Ronald “Ronnie” Lewis, Michael “Mike” (Erica) Lewis, Victoria Mae “Vicky” Lewis, Mary Lewis Shanks, and the late Alex Lewis, Eric Lewis, and Lorena Lewis Harris. Godmother of Maegan Shanks Kindell, Micah Lewis, and Ciara Lewis; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, Second Mount Calvary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, 8282 I-10 Service Rd. South, New Orleans, LA on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Fred Luter, Jr., senior pastor; Pastor Sam Young, Jr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time.
