ALONZO ODOMS, SR

Alonzo Odoms, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 4, 2022, at the age of 71. He was native of Hermanville, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA. Alonzo was employed with Avondale Shipyard as a first-class welder supervisor. Beloved husband of Rosie Lee Terrell Odoms. Devoted father of Sandra Odoms, James Odoms, Myra Denise Odoms, and, the late Alonzo Odoms, Jr. Grandfather of the late Alajah and Aa’Liyah Odoms, and Glen James Ruffin. Great grandfather of the late A’marhi Wilson. Son of the late Ulysses Odoms, Sr. and Matilda Sorrell. Brother of Ulysses Odoms, Jr., Leroy Odoms, Aris Odoms, Veronnie Sorrells, Annie Coleman, Dorothy Smith, Katie Odoms, Geneva Nicholas, and the late Jewel Tarleton, Beatrice Odoms, Jannie Barnes, Prince Odoms, Johnny Odoms, and Clifton Odoms, also survived by 22 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above-named parlor.
