ALLEN THOMAS FLOYD

August 18, 1988 — March 15, 2022

Allen Thomas Floyd entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the age of 33. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. He was a 2008 graduate of Crossroads Charter High School in Charlotte, NC. While in high school he was also enrolled at Charlotte Piedmont Technical College studying Computer Programming and Technology. After graduation, Allen furthered his education at Atlanta Technical College in Atlanta, GA, where he studied Architecture Design and Drafting with focus on Computer Architectural Drafting. His dream was to design buildings and had planned to visit Dubai, because of his love of the architecture of the buildings in Abu Dhabi. Allen was a former employee of the City of South Fulton Department of Voter Registration in Atlanta, GA and Circular Consulting, LLC in New Orleans, LA. Allen also worked with his father’s family business Floyds Home Improvements. Loving father of Isabella Cheyenne Floyd and Ariel Trinity Floyd. Beloved son of Arton Eugene Floyd and Tere’nce “Terri” Marie Hymes Rowe. Stepson of Beverly Cain Floyd and Randy Brevard Rowe. Grandson of Gwendolyn Duplessis (Charles) Green, and the late Thomas Preston Floyd, Mary Jackson Floyd, and Milton Benny Hymes, Jr. Great grandson of James and Alberta Toles Jackson, Rose Mary Tribit Jackson, Milton Benny Hymes, Sr., James Lucien Duplessis and Darndenella Goins Duplessis. Devoted brother of Tiffany Christina Floyd and Tyauna Renee’ Floyd (Quinton) Wright. Stepbrother of Kimberli Nelson, and Dr. Arton Eugene (Amanda) Nelson. Nephew of Leland J. Floyd, Alberta Floyd (Jerome) Brooks, Errol B. Floyd, Montrell L. (Christine) Hymes, Michell L. Hymes Murray, and Wilton M. (Keisha) Hymes. Uncle of Tavione, Tahvon, Legend, Myron, Mykia, Derrick, Aria, Amya, Arton, Jr., Amen, and Aryan. Cousin of the late Montrell Leon Hymes, Jr.  Godson of Clayton T. and Debra Coolie Floyd. Best friend of the late Jon Robert. Allen is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends of New Orleans, Texas, Georgia, North and South Carolina. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Elizabeth Baptist Church of Atlanta, GA, New Birth Missionary Baptist Church of Lithonia, GA, Ford Bend Baptist Church of Sugarland, TX, Pentecost Baptist Church, Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, Christian Community Baptist Church, Branch Bell Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches; employees of Orleans Parish 911, Delta Airlines, Carol Jones State Farm Agency, and Akii Academy Crescent City Schools are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Gentilly Baptist Church, 5141 Franklin Ave. New Orleans, LA on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Lionel Davis of Pentecost Baptist Church, officiating  Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Mt.
