ALICE LULA PERKINS PHOENIX

Alice Lula Perkins Phoenix entered into eternal rest at her residence on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the age of 94. She was a native of Darrow, LA and a resident of Bridge City, LA. Alice was a true businesswoman, she and her husband became popular in land ownership.  She was a faithful member of Second Salvation Baptist Church, where she served as a deaconess for 64 years and church secretary for many years.Beloved wife of 75 years to Roy Phoenix. Loving mother of Bobby Louis Phoenix, Dorean Phoenix (James, Sr.) Cleveland, and the late Gloristeen Butler. Daughter of the late Tommy and Ceola Perkins. Sister of Shirley Edwards, Sterling (Louise) Perkins, Mary (Robert) Maiden, Rose (Freddie) Jackson, and the late Alfred, Tommy, and George Perkins, Ruth Bell, and Louvenia Colar. Godmother of Ralph Taylor and Darlene Cotton. Alice is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Salvation Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Salvation Baptist Church, 212 Marrero Street, Bridge City, LA on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Richard Williams, officiating.
