ALICE JEAN LANDRY

Alice O. Landry, age 74, entered peacefully into eternal rest at Wyhoven Health Care Center on Monday, March 4, 2024. She was a native of Harvey, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Alice was a retired employee of the Landmark Hotel. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Landry, Jr. Loving mother of Olivia M. Landry, Joann McKnight, Joseph Landry, III (Sharon), Micheal (Ligita) Landry, Sr., and the late Darryl “Diggem” Landry, Sr. Daughter of the late Peter Overton, Sr. and Sally A. Perry.  Sister of Irma Dixon, Dianne (Patrick) Jones, Yvonne Perry, David Overton, and the late Peter Overton, Jr., Jose “Blue Eye” Donald, Courtney Overton, and Chiqutia Smith. Also cherishing her memories are 24 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Progressive Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Progressive Church, 437 Cohen Street, Marrero, LA on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Sterling Mealancon, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery- Westwego, LA.
