ADRIAN DEON HAMMOND, SR.

Adrian” Booga” Deon Hammond, Sr., age 45, departed this life in Erwinville, LA on Monday, May 27, 2024, after succumbing to injuries suffered in an automobile accident. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Adrian was a graduate of John Ehret High School. After graduating he enlisted in the United States Army, where he was employed as a mechanic. Adrian enjoyed grilling, cutting hair, drawing, and shopping. He will be remembered for his infectious smile and as a true comedian at heart. Beloved father of Zadrian Williams and Adrian D. Hammond, Jr. Loving grandfather of Julian, Jr. Son of the late Rita E. Hammond-Foreman and Launey E. Rivers, Sr. Grandson of the late Joseph A. Hammond, Sr. and Rosetta R. Hammond. Devoted brother of LaKisha D. Hammond-Smith, Redondra W. (Nikiya, Sr.) Sullen, Keondra J. Hammond (Mattthew), Rashawn (Lyndell) Rivers, Shonda Warren, Nina Riley, Cashun James, Launey E. “Rob” River, Jr., Dre D. Hammond, Ashely M. Hammond, Ashton M. Hammond, and the late Dre’Shonda D. Hammond. Nephew of Nova Hammond Louis, Diane Butler, Glen Ray Ether, Sr., and the late Vernita Faye Ether, and Joseph A. Hammond, Jr. Great nephew of Idelee Hammond, Ruby Lee Rogers, Albert Rogers, and Major Rogers, Jr. Cousin of the late Travis Renard Fazande. Godson of Shirley McPherson and the late Lionel McPherson. Godbrother of Austina Fredrick.  Lifelong friend of Jeran Winchester, Sr. and Linda Hardieway. Special friend of Wanda Labaud and Cynthia Hamburg; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
