Ada Antoine Chancellor entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the age of 77. She was a native and resident of Marrero, LA. Ada was a graduate of Lincoln High School Class of 1966. She was a former employee with Krauss Department Store for 11 years and Jefferson Parish School System for 5 years. Beloved mother of Warren Chancellor. Loving grandmother of Warren Rogers, Shantell Rogers, and Shantrice (Darren) Gloster. Great grandmother of Rayianna, Rayshad, Sha’Ray, Darren, Aaron, and Cayden. Daughter of the late Thomas, Sr. and Emma Sims Antoine. Sister of Emma L. Jones, Montgomery J. Antoine, and the late Paul Antoine, Camille Antoine, Phylice Antoine, Oliver Antoine, Sr., Virginia Manshack, Thomas Antoine, Jr., and Marguerite Antoine Jackson. Mother in law of Nancy Hearn. Godmother of LaToya Pickens and Chad Antoine. Best friend of Annette and Marilyn. Beloved companion of 18 years to the late Donald Speaks, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Cathedral of Faith, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Cathedral of Faith 2921 Fourth St. New Orleans, LA on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Alvin Mulder, Jr., officiating.
