MacAuther Mike Sparkman entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at his residence. Devoted and loving husband for 33 years and friend for 36 years to Doris Loretta Sparkman. Father of LaTasha and NaKeith Sparkman. Grandfather of Trevon and Nakia Sparkman. Son of the late Ernest Sparkman and Lucille Sparkman-Black. Brother of Carolyn Owens, Gladys Jackson, David Sparkman and Rosevelt Allen. Son-in-law of Lillie Mae Morris. Nephew of Anne Hardy of Cleveland, Oh., Willie Mae Foster of Tuscaloosa, Al., Frances Wilson of Detroit. Mi., and Robert L. Bradley of Marrero, La. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 55 years a native of Liberty, Ms. and a resident of Harvey, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Vineyard Ministries and New Salem Church of Christ Holiness USA and all neighboring churches; employees of CMP Coating Co., Aramark, Discount Carpet Cleaning, Ruth Chris, Canon Hospice, West Jefferson Oncology Dept., and University Hospital are invited to attend the funeral service at New Salem Church of Christ Holiness USA 1540 Manisfield St. Marrero, La. on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 10:30a.m. Elder George Taylor host pastor / Elder David Hollins-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Cemetery & Mausoleum- Westwego, La. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La.
