Ivan (Slim, Cabinet Man) Pugh, a retired employee of Bayou Segnette State Park departed this life on Monday, December 5, 2011 surrounded by family members at West Jefferson Medical Center. Husband of Jean (Robinson) Pugh. Devoted father of Raynette Pugh Kent and Nadine Pugh- Darangue and Melva Faye Christmas. Loving grandfather of Denzel and Portia Darangue, Xavier and Troy L. Kent, Jr. Son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Pugh, Sr. Brother of Grace Osborne, Edna, Janice, Leroy, Nolan, Paul, Donald, and Eugene Pugh., and the late Marlene Pugh, Cpl. Percy and Joseph Pugh, Jr. Godfather of John Jones , Kerry Christophe and Beverly Blakes., also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 70 years a native of Plaquemine, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. over 50 years. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Little Zion # 3 Baptist Church, and Mt. Airy Baptist Church (Plaquemine, La.) and all neighboring churches. Employees of Bayou Segnette State Park, Internal Revenue Service, Faith Christian Academy, West Jefferson Medical Center, Hematology & Oncology Specialist, LLC; Staff of Dr. Emery Minnard and Quest Diagnostics are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, La. on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Rev.
