Kenneth Carl Young

Kenneth Carl Young, affectionately known as Skeeta, departed this world on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the age of 60. He was a native of New Orleans, LA, a former resident of Marrero, LA (Jackson Town) and currently a resident of New Orleans, LA. Kenneth was a graduate of West Jefferson High School Class of '71, where he distinguished himself in the study of foreign languages, and received his BS degree from Southern University. Loving father of Terry (Contaka) England of Marrero, LA, Carlos M. (Yvonne) Young of Houston, TX and Erin A. Young of Gretna, LA. Grandfather of Terry, Terron, Cevel, Phoenix, Zion, Jared, Jaden, Chase, Nejman and one great grandchild. Son of the late Jessie Collins Young and William Young, Jr. Brother of Rev. Malcolm E. (Jean) of Killeen, TX, Haleemon Hess (Aaron) Hatch, of Greensboro, NC, Cynthia Ann Hess of Baton Rouge, LA , Donald Roy (Karen) Hess of Gretna, LA, William Young, III of Marrero, LA and Ruth Y. (Curtis) Hiner of San Antonio, TX. Nephew of Marcella Collins and Leola Winchester. Godson of Ethel M. Davis. Cherished friend of Rita Lazard and Ronald Jones. Son in law of Rose Fortenberry; also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
