James Anderson

James Anderson, a retired roofer, departed this life on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at his residence. He was a Sergeant in the United States Army receiving a Combat Medical Badge, Korean Service Medal, two Bronze Service Stars, and Dist. Unit City –United Nations Service Medal.

Husband of the late Lottie Ann Anderson. Devoted father of Mathilda Lori Hughes Williams. Son of the late Oliver, Sr. and Hazel Anderson. Brother of the late Oliver Anderson, Jr., Bernard Anderson, Jr., Mathilda A. Hall, Mary A. Landrum, and Alma A. Thornton, also survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Age: 90 years a native and resident of New Orleans, LA

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of New Home Ministries and neighboring churches; employees of VA Medical Center and Acts Home Health Care are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the parlor.

Interment: Resthaven Memorial Cemetery-New Orleans, LA.
