Lawrence Simmons, Jr.

Lawrence Simmons, Jr. entered into eternal rest at his residence on Monday, July 10, 2017. He was a retired teacher for Jefferson Parish School Board. Devoted son of the late Lawrence Simmons, Sr. and Leola Simmons. Brother of Richard Simmons, James Simmons, Alcide (Darlyn) Simmons, Sr., Phillip (Lasandra) Simmons, Theodore Simmons, Edward Simmons, Alvin Simmons, Mary Lee Alexander, Elizabeth Kennedy, Louise Littleton, Patricia (Lionel) Harris, and the late Herbert Simmons, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Age: 77 years a native and resident of Avondale, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Second St. John Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second St. John Baptist Church 242 Avondale Garden Rd. Avondale, LA on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 10:00a.m.
