Ossie O. Brown

Ossie O. Brown, a retired seamstress, departed this life on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the age of 75.  She was a native of Tampa, FL and a resident of Marrero, LA.  Loving mother of Valjean Hawkins- Stephenson and the late James Norton, Jr.  Grandmother of JaPaula (Alton) Shelby, Jane (Rev. Nathan) Williams, and Ivory Thomas, IV.  Great- grandmother of Keyon Owens and Cameron Owens.  Daughter of the late Sam Hawkins and Annie Mae Siglar.  Sister of Ruben and Sam Hawkins, Allie Barton, and the late Ivey Hawkins, Minnie Lee Evans, and Sarah Wesley.  Mother-in-law of Eugene Stephenson and Paula Owens Taylor; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  Burial will be Private.  Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA  To view and sign the guestbook, please go to www.davismortuaryservice.com.
