Mercedes Stewart Carter

Mercedes Stewart Carter entered into eternal rest at St. Luke’s Nursing Home on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the age of 80. She was a native and resident of Gretna, LA. Mercedes was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant and Child Care Attendant.

Mother of John (Shelia) Carter, Roslyn Smith, Michael, Andrea, Tanya (Eugene), and Brian (Tinigue) Carter. Grandmother of the late Tanika Carter. Daughter of the late Mable Smith and Lucien Stewart. Sister of Inez Gamble, and the late Aletha Mae Fisher, and Geraldine Fairman, also survived by 16 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Saturday, February 2,   2019 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. at the above named parlor.

Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery- Westwego, LA.
